This wine was named after the restaurant in Gigondas. It’s made out of a blend of Marsanne and Viognier.
The vintageThe 2018 vintage is characterised by exceptional weather conditions. Flowering took place in the best possible conditions, with a historically abundant grape output. A few rainy episodes at the end of the spring complicated things a little with an attack of mildew, but the good weather then settled down until harvest, which took place under idyllic conditions. The wines are beautiful.
LocationAs we elaborate our Rhône Valley Crus, some of the wines do not go into the final blend. They will therefore be used in L’Oustalet. They come from all southern Rhône Valley terroirs and each one contributes with its own characteristics to this wine.
AgeingHand picked, sorting of the harvest, sedimentation and pressurization. Vinification in enamelled tanks with temperature control.
