The vineyard lies to the east of the southern tip of the Côtes du Rhône appellation, near the town of Villes-sur-Auzon, at the foot of the Mont-Ventoux and the hills that extend to Sault.
Sediment left by the seas of the Tertiary Period at the base of the chalky Mont Ventoux. Red Mediterranean soils blend with chalk debris and round stones.
Cinsault 50%, Grenache 40%, Syrah 10%.
Grapes are hand-picked, lightly crushed and put in stainless steel vats.
Skin contact for 24 hours.
Fermentation of the free-run juice in stainless steel at 21°C/70°F.
The wine is kept entirely in stainless steel, and is fined with bentonite.
Appearance : a lovely deep pink hue.
Nose : floral, with a touch of aniseed and brown sugar.
Palate : very rich, balanced, caramel, toffee.
At 10 to 12°C/ 50 to 54°F in a tulip-shaped glass.
